Ahammed Khabeer

Biography:

Ahammed Khabeer is a noted Indian film director, screenwriter, and producer, working mainly in Malayalam film and digital entertainment sector. He made his directorial debut with the well-received coming-of-age drama June (2019), which was much applauded for its beautiful depiction of adolescent life and friendship and self-discovery. He came up with another emotional story called Madhuram (2021), and thus established himself as a director whose forte lies in portraying stories through emotionally-rich character-driven storytelling.

He ventured into the world of OTT content by directing the police procedural thriller series called Kerala Crime Files (2023), which was the first-ever Malayalam original for Disney+ Hotstar. The web series was appreciated much for its realistic investigation, believable performances, and gripping story; he even came back for directing and producing its second season. Apart from making feature films and web series, he has also helmed the anthology film Hello June and produced projects under his banner, Monkey Business.
