Biography:
Aditi Mittal is an Indian stand-up comedian, actress, and writer who was born on November 12, 1987. The Times of India ranked Mittal as one of the top 10 stand-up comedians in India, making her one of the country’s first female performers, She was listed as one of the top 30 “witty, intelligent and incredibly fun” Indian women to follow on Twitter by CNN-IBN. Mittal has contributed editorials and articles to Financial Times (UK, Weekend Edition), DNA, Firstpost, and Grazia Men magazine.
According to Mid-Day, Mittal is one of the more well-known figures in the Indian English stand-up comedy scene in both North and West India. In 2009, the U.K.-based venue The Comedy Store hosted a stand-up event called Local Heroes, which included her as one of the first five Indians. She has performed at clubs in the UK, Laugh Factory in Los Angeles, Comedy Store Mumbai, Canvas Laugh Factory, and a number of comedy festivals around the nation. Mittal received an invitation from the BBC to attend the esteemed 100 Women Conference in London in 2013.
