Abrar Qazi

Biography:

Abrar Qazi is an Indian television actor renowned for his roles as Rudraksh Khurana and Samrat Khurana in “Yeh Hai Chahatein” and as Raghu Jadhav in “Gathbandhan.” Born on August 3, 1992, in Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir, India, he attended Tyndale Biscoe School for his schooling. Qazi pursued his Bachelor of Commerce degree from Islamia College of Science and Commerce, Srinagar, and later obtained a Master of Arts in Journalism.

During his early years, Qazi collaborated with friends to create films addressing social issues. He briefly worked as a Graphic Designer in his hometown before resigning to pursue his acting aspirations.

Qazi made his acting debut as Zaid in Imtiaz Ali’s romantic film “Laila Majnu” in 2018, followed by his portrayal of Kareem in Prime Video’s web series “The Family Man.”

In January 2019, he transitioned to Hindi television as the lead character Raghu Jadhav, a Dombivli gangster, in Colors TV’s “Gathbandhan” opposite Shruti Sharma.

Following the conclusion of “Gathbandhan” in November 2019, Qazi gained prominence for his portrayal of lead characters Rudraksh Khurana and later Samrat Khurana in Ekta Kapoor’s drama series “Yeh Hai Chahatein” from 2019 to 2023 on Star Plus. The show marked a significant milestone in his career, earning him widespread acclaim for his acting skills and on-screen chemistry with Sargun Kaur Luthra, making them a beloved duo and the show a tremendous success.

In 2021 and 2022, he appeared alongside Sargun Kaur Luthra in several advertisements such as Jeevansaathi matrimonial and Bru coffee. In November 2023, Qazi joined Zee TV’s “Kumkum Bhagya” portraying the character of Rajvansh opposite Rachi Sharma.
