Abhishek Shankar is an Indian actor known for his work in Tamil films and television series. He made his acting debut in Gnana Rajasekaran’s well-received drama film “Mogamul” (1995), where he portrayed a leading role alongside Archana Joglekar. Transitioning to television in 1999, he joined Ekta Kapoor’s serial “Kudumbam” after facing challenges in sustaining a film career. Alongside his acting roles, he also contributed to the production of Tamil TV series and showcased his comedic skills.
Abhishek gained recognition for his role as Bhaskaran in the popular serial “Kolangal,” which propelled his career forward. Subsequently, he appeared in numerous other serials such as “Malargal,” “Girija,” and “Kollywood Court,” solidifying his presence in the television industry.
In 2009, Abhishek expressed his interest in directing and producing films under his own banner, Hollywood to Bollywood Films.
