Born in September 1985 in Payannur, Kannur, Kerala, Abhiram Radhakrishnan is an Indian actor known for his work in Malayalam cinema. Initially, he embarked on his career as an assistant director before transitioning into acting. Abhiram made his acting debut in 2015 with the film Chandrettan Evideya. Since then, he has appeared in over 15 Malayalam films as of May 2023.
Prior to his foray into the film industry, Abhiram pursued a Master’s degree in Art History and Criticism from Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda. Before venturing into Malayalam cinema, he garnered experience as an arts curator and critic, curating numerous art exhibitions across India.
Abhiram’s career in Malayalam cinema commenced with his role as an assistant director in Chandrettan Evideya, where he also made his acting debut in a minor role. His performances as Kunjippa in Sudani from Nigeria (2018) and Manaaf in Parava (2017) garnered attention. Notably, in Unda (2019), Abhiram portrayed a significant supporting role as a policeman. His portrayal of CPO Bineesh, a murder suspect, in Iratta (2023) received acclaim. Additionally, in the same year, he played major supporting roles in Enkilum Chandrike and Jackson Bazaar Youth. As of May 2023, he has appeared in over 30 films as an actor and has served as an associate director in various projects, including Irul, Anjam Pathira, Allu Ramendran, Halaal Love Story, Jan. E. Man, Kooman, and Pachuvum Atbuthavilakkum.
