Actor Aaron Perry Taylor-Johnson (née Johnson) was born in England on June 13, 1990. In addition to playing the title role in Kick-Ass (2010) and its 2013 sequel, he is well-known for playing Pietro Maximoff in Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015), a character from the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
He acted as a child in movies such as Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging (2008), The Illusionist (2006), and Shanghai Knights (2003). Sam Taylor-Wood, with whom he married in 2012 and took the same last name (Taylor-Johnson), directed the 2009 biopic Nowhere Boy, in which he had his breakout performance as John Lennon. He followed this with roles in the crime thriller Savages (2012), period drama Anna Karenina (2012), and monster film Godzilla (2014).
Taylor-Johnson was nominated for the BAFTA Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role and won the Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actor – Motion Picture for his portrayal of a psychotic vagrant in the 2016 thriller Nocturnal Animals. Since then, he has starred in the action movies The Fall Guy (2024), Bullet Train (2022), and Tenet (2020).
