Biography:

Tripti Dimri, born on 23rd February 1994, is an Indian actress who primarily works in Hindi cinema. Her debut in the film industry happened with the comedy movie “Poster Boys” (2017), and she marked her first leading role in the romantic drama “Laila Majnu” (2018). Subsequently, she played significant roles in Anvita Dutt’s period films “Bulbbul” (2020) and “Qala” (2022). Her achievements were acknowledged when she found a place in Forbes Asia’s 2021 “30 Under 30” list.

Dimri initiated her acting career under the direction of Shreyas Talpade in his debut film “Poster Boys” (2017), which starred Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol, and Talpade himself in the lead roles. The film, an official remake of the Marathi movie “Poshter Boyz,” saw her portraying the love interest of Talpade’s character. In the subsequent year, she took on the lead role in the romantic drama “Laila Majnu” (2018), opposite Avinash Tiwary. Anna M. M. Vetticad, in her review for Firstpost, commended Dimri for infusing her portrayal of Laila with a credible sense of daring amidst risky situations.

Dimri’s breakthrough role came in 2020 when she played the protagonist in Anvita Dutt’s supernatural drama “Bulbbul,” reuniting with Avinash Tiwary. The film, produced by Anushka Sharma, garnered positive reviews, with Namrata Joshi of The Hindu lauding Dimri’s expressive eyes and her portrayal’s evolution from vulnerability to enigmatic allure. This performance earned her the Filmfare OTT Award for Best Actress.

Continuing her collaboration with Dutt, Dimri featured in their home production “Qala,” which received praise from critics.

Dimri’s upcoming projects include a role in an untitled film by Anand Tiwari, co-starring Vicky Kaushal. She’s also set to appear in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s “Animal,” alongside Ranbir Kapoor.
