Biography:

Sushant Singh Rajput, born on January 21, 1986, and passing away on June 14, 2020, was a renowned Indian actor celebrated for his contributions to Hindi cinema. His notable films include M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story (2016), Kedarnath (2018), and Chhichhore (2019). Rajput received accolades for his performances, earning a Screen Award and three Filmfare Award nominations. He appeared twice on Forbes India’s Celebrity 100 list.

Rajput initiated his acting career in Mumbai’s theatre scene after leaving his engineering course at Delhi College of Engineering. His TV debut was in Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil (2008), followed by a prominent role in Pavitra Rishta (2009–2011). Transitioning to the big screen, he gained acclaim for Kai Po Che! (2013) and continued with films like Shuddh Desi Romance (2013) and Detective Byomkesh Bakshy! (2015). His role in the sports biopic M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story earned him a Filmfare nomination.

Tragically, Rajput died by suicide at the age of 34 in June 2020, sparking controversies. The Narcotics Control Bureau investigated alleged drug use, leading to charges against individuals. Rajput’s sister faced accusations related to providing psychotropic drugs. His last film, Dil Bechara (2020), released posthumously.

Rajput’s journey involved early dance training and theatre work. He transitioned to TV, achieving success in Pavitra Rishta. Beyond acting, he co-founded Innsaei Ventures and supported causes like women entrepreneurship and poverty eradication. His filmography includes Sonchiriya (2019) and Chhichhore (2019).
