Sairam Shankar is an Indian actor associated with Telugu cinema. He is the younger sibling of the well-known Indian film director and producer, Puri Jagannadh. His journey in the world of acting commenced with his role as the lead actor in the 2004 film “143.” Subsequently, he pursued his acting career by appearing in movies like “Danger,” “Neninthe,” and “Bumper Offer.”
Sairam Shankar initially embarked on his film career by assisting his brother, Puri Jagannadh, in the direction department. He worked as an assistant director from 1997, contributing to films like “Badri,” “Bachi,” “Itlu Sravani Subramanyam,” “Idiot,” “Amma Nanna O Tamila Ammayi,” and “Shivamani.”
His interest in acting gradually grew, and he made a brief appearance in the film “Idiot.” After training in acting at the Satyanand Film Institute in Visakhapatnam, Puri Jagannadh cast him as the lead in the 2004 film “143.” Although the film received mixed reviews, Sairam’s performance was lauded. He went on to act in several films, with his 2009 release “Bumper Offer” marking his first major success.
