Indian film director and screenwriter Karuna Kumar mainly works in Telugu cinema. His directorial work on the 2020 movie Palasa 1978 is what made him most famous. The critics gave Karuna Kumar’s first feature film, Palasa 1978, favorable reviews when it debuted in March 2020.
The instances involving caste discrimination and untouchability are the central focus of the movie. Both cinema Companion and The Times of India’s year-end top cinema charts included it. Metro Kathalu, the film he directed his next project on, is now available on Aha.com. Designed to be an encyclopedia
The Times of India said that the movie “doesn’t have a fresh theme” and attacked Kumar’s work. After that, he directed Sridevi Soda Center, which starred Anandhi and Sudheer Babu in the key parts. “With Sridevi Soda Center, Karuna Kumar takes a mainstream approach given the presence of actor Sudheer Babu and tries to keep the narrative gritty while discussing issues of honor,” noted Sangeetha Devi Dundoo in her review for The Hindu.
Some reviews felt that the movie’s screenplay might be considerably improved. Prior to the July 2021 release of Sridevi Soda Center, Kumar was listed as the star in eight future films by The Hans India. He left the Telugu version of the Malayalam movie Nayattu in November 2021 due to creative disagreements.
