Biography:

Anand Tiwari, an Indian multi-talent recognized for his diverse roles as an actor, producer, writer, lyricist, and director in Hindi cinema, boasts an impressive body of work spanning various mediums. His filmography includes notable appearances in movies such as “Kites” (2010), “Udaan” (2010), “Aisha” (2010), and “Go Goa Gone” (2013), alongside his acclaimed stage performance in Rage Productions’ “One on One” (2010).

As the co-founder of Still and Still Media Collective, Tiwari has made significant contributions, producing his directorial debut “Love per Square Foot” (2018) and the successful series “Bandish Bandits.” This endeavor earned him a nomination for the Filmfare OTT Awards for Best Original Story. Tiwari’s journey commenced in 2008 through television commercials for prominent brands before transitioning to Mumbai’s vibrant theater scene, participating in productions like “Dreams of Taleem” and “One on One.”

Tiwari’s acting career flourished with appearances in Bollywood hits like “Slumdog Millionaire” (2008), “The President Is Coming” (2009), and “Fair Game” (2010), the latter being an official Cannes Film Festival entry. Additionally, he served as an assistant director for Anurag Basu’s acclaimed film “Barfi!” (2012). His directorial debut, “Love Per Square Foot,” marked a milestone in Indian cinema as the first film released directly on a streaming platform, Netflix India.

In 2020, Tiwari ventured into web series creation, producing and directing the acclaimed “Bandish Bandits,” exploring the realms of Hindustani Classical music and pop culture. The series garnered widespread acclaim and multiple nominations at the Filmfare OTT Awards. Currently, Tiwari is working on his next project, “Bad Newz,” a spiritual sequel to “Good Newwz,” which he will produce and direct, starring Vicky Kaushal and Tripti Dimri.

Born on May 29, 1983, in Matunga, Mumbai, Tiwari’s artistic journey began in the local Marathi theater scene, nurtured by a family of doctors. He pursued a bachelor’s degree in mass media with a major in advertising from the University of Mumbai. Tiwari tied the knot with actress Angira Dhar in an intimate ceremony on April 30, 2021, marking a new chapter in his personal life.
