Abhishek Pathak

Biography:

Abhishek Pathak, born on July 1, 1987, is an Indian film director, screenwriter, and producer known for his work in Hindi cinema. Starting his career at the age of 17, Pathak has directed films like “Drishyam 2” and “Ujda Chaman.” He has also produced notable films such as “Pyaar Ka Punchnama,” “Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2,” “Section 375,” and “Khuda Haafiz.”

The son of film producer Kumar Mangat Pathak, Abhishek completed his schooling at Mithibai College in Mumbai. Before studying filmmaking at the New York Film Academy, he gained over three years of experience in production and direction. He has produced numerous films under his father’s production company, Panorama Studios.

Pathak made his directorial debut with the comedy “Ujda Chaman” in 2019 and directed “Drishyam 2,” the sequel to “Drishyam” (2015), in 2022. In February 2023, he married actress Shivaleeka Oberoi. Abhishek is known for his vision of producing unconventional yet commercially viable films, demonstrated by his award-winning short fiction film “Boond,” which received several accolades, including the prestigious 57th National Film Award. He continues to pursue his passion for cinema with the same vigor and dedication.
