Biography:

Abbas Tyrewala is an Indian screenwriter, lyricist, and director renowned for his work in Hindi cinema. Initially gaining recognition for his screenwriting and dialogue contributions to acclaimed films like Maqbool (2003) and Munnabhai M.B.B.S. (2003), he ventured into directing with the 2008 romantic comedy Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na. The film, which also featured a celebrated soundtrack by A.R. Rahman, was both a critical and commercial success.

Born on May 15, 1974, in Mumbai, Maharashtra, Tyrewala began his career as a lyricist for Dil Pe Mat Le Yaar!! (2000) and Love Ke Liye Kuch Bhi Karega (2001) before making his directorial debut with Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na. He followed this with Jhootha Hi Sahi (2010), starring John Abraham .
