Buzz: Akhil to take a risk after Agent

Akhil Akkineni scored the first success of his career last year, with Most Eligible Bachelor. The film was written and directed by Bhaskar, of Bommarillu fame. While several doubts were expressed over the film, as it was delayed several times, its success proved everyone wrong.

Akhil is now focused on his upcoming film Agent, in which he will be seen playing the role of a spy, directed by Surender Reddy. The actor is jacked up for the role and has been sweating it out on the sets as well, even shooting in harsh conditions for the film. It is now being said that Akhil is planning on a completely different path after Agent.

It is being said that Akhil is considering teaming up with Bhaskar again, for a second movie. Bhaskar is known for his feel-good movies, and it is a risky choice for Akhil, as there have been several instances where actors failed to deliver with different kinds of films released back to back. Sources are also saying that Akhil is in talks with director Mohan Raja, and there’s no confirmation about this project either. With two directors in talks, it is to be seen who will be finalized by Akhil, and how that film will turn out to be. But first, one has to see how Agent performs, and if Akhil’s follow-up film with either Bhaskar or Mohan Raja will actually be a reality, and how that will end up performing.
