Vijaya Shanthi Reacts To Akhanda 2 Rumors

Vijaya Shanthi made a strong comeback to films after five years with Arjun S/O Vyjayanthi, where she played the mother of Nandamuri Kalyan Ram.

She expressed happiness over the audience’s response and said fans loved seeing her in a powerful, action-packed role. “Director Pradeep gave me exactly the kind of role I was waiting for. My previous film didn’t satisfy my fans, but this one did”, she said.

Recently sworn in as an MLC in the Telangana Legislative Council, Vijaya Shanthi is also in the news for possibly signing more films.

There’s buzz that she might join the cast of Akhanda 2 where director Boyapati Srinu is said to have written a special role for her alongside Balakrishna.

However Vijaya Shanthi laughed off the rumors, saying she wasn’t aware of it. Balaaya and Vijaya Shanthi were a popular on-screen pair in the 80s and 90s.
