Majnu is one of the most liked characters in Indian stories of romance and ANR played the character and immortalized the lover on Telugu Silver screen.
Nagarjuna became Majnu early in his career and became an iconic lover for 80’s and 90’s youth. He did Geetanjali to mark his stamp of authority in romance.
Now, Akhil who did a high octane action drama and an emotional love story in his first two films seem to be trying out light-hearted romance now.
As Mr. Majnu he is trying his luck for the third time as the lead hero and the song, his character, and his screen presence seem very different from his early films.
Akhil seems to be at ease in the first look teaser released by the team. Mr. Majnu seems to have the potential to become a hit for Akhil and establish Venky Atluri as a good youthful filmmaker after Tholiprema.
