After the huge success of his first film Uppena, director Buchi Babu Sana teamed up with Ram Charan for his second project, Peddi. The recently released teaser created a lot of buzz, with fans calling it a sure-shot blockbuster.
In a recent interview, Buchi Babu shared that he first told the story to his mentor Sukumar, who loved it and immediately asked him to narrate it to Ram Charan.
Though many believed he was going to work with Jr NTR after Uppena, Buchi clarified that Ram Charan was always his first choice for Peddi.
He also shared a special moment during the teaser’s release. He was at Ram Charan’s home with Chiranjeevi and Charan, feeling nervous. But when Chiranjeevi appreciated the teaser, Buchi felt overjoyed.
He also spoke about the viral sixer shot in the teaser, giving full credit to stunt master Navakanth. Peddi stars Janhvi Kapoor and will release on March 27, 2026.
