Story:

Sivarapalli is an Indian Telugu-language comedy-drama television series and the official remake of the Hindi series Panchayat. Written by Shanmukha Prashanth and directed by Bhaskhar Maurya, the show is produced for Amazon Prime Video.

Featuring Rag Mayur, Muralidhar Goud, Rupa Lakshmi, Uday Gurrala, and Sunny Palle in key roles, the series is produced by Arunabh Kumar under the TVF banner. It follows Shyam (played by Rag Mayur), a young engineering graduate from Hyderabad who reluctantly takes up the role of Panchayat Secretary in the remote village of Sivarapalli, Telangana.

Premiering on 24 January 2025 on Amazon Prime Video, the series consists of eight episodes.

Plot

Shyam Kumar, a government official, is assigned the role of Panchayat Raj Secretary in the village of Sivarapalli. However, his ultimate ambition is to leave the job and move to the US. Reluctantly stepping into a village dominated by the Sarpanch (Muralidhar Goud), Shyam must adapt to the rural way of life, navigate local politics, and handle people who often take him for granted. The series unfolds as he overcomes these challenges and gradually carves out a place for himself in Sivarapalli, forming the core of this eight-episode journey.
