Guess what! Samantha could have played the lead in Okka Manasu

Well, as a matter of fact, it could have been Regina as well! Yes, the film’s director Ramaraju revealed in a recent interview with an English daily that Okka Manasu might not have even been Niharika’s debut film if the two actresses couldn’t make space in their calendars.

Apparently, Ramaraju first narrated the script to Samantha who had her dates locked till June 2016 by when the plan was to wrap up shoot. Same was the case with Regina who could immediately allot only around five days a month. That’s when the team decided to case a new face and as fate would have it, it became Niharika’s debut film. Well, with such big names having been approached, it does sound like one hell of a story. Let’s see how it turns out.
