Samantha Opens Up About Overcoming Divorce And Finding Happiness

Samantha is one of the most talented actors in Telugu cinema married Naga Chaitanya, but their marriage ended in divorce. In a recent interview Sam opened up about how difficult it was to deal with the separation especially when people called her “secondhand” and “used”.

“There is still a lot of shame and stigma around divorce especially for women. When I got divorced people said hurtful things like I was secondhand or had a wasted life. It felt like I was being pushed into a corner and made to feel like a failure for not staying married. I know this happens to many women and their families, and it’s really tough,” she said emotionally.

She also shared that over time she accepted her reality and chose to move forward. “At first, it hurt a lot. But then I decided to own my story. Yes, I am divorced. Things did not turn out like a fairytale, but that does not mean my life is over. I was not looking for revenge or making a big statement, I just chose to accept it and move on. My life did not end there it began”.

Now Sam says she is in a much better place and is happy. “I have grown so much as a person and I am really happy now. I am doing amazing work and looking forward to the next phase of my life,” she added.

Sam and Chaitanya were married in 2017 in a beautiful destination wedding in Goa. However they separated in 2021. Chaitanya is now reportedly set to marry Sobhita next month.
