Samantha has faced a challenging phase in both her career and personal life, especially dealing with health issues. During the filming of “Yashoda“, she revealed her battle with myositis, a rare autoimmune condition that affected her health.
Despite these struggles, she actively promoted “Shaakuntalam” and “Kushi“. However, she later took a break to focus on her treatment. Encouraged by directors Raj and DK, Samantha worked on “Citadel: Honey Bunny”, the Indian version of the popular international series.
Producer Bellamkonda Suresh recently shared how he supported Samantha during a tough time earlier in her career. While working on “Alludu Seenu“, she faced a skin-related health issue.
Suresh stepped in to help by providing Rs. 25 lakhs for her treatment and arranging accommodation at Hyatt when others didn’t. Samantha remains grateful for his support and has maintained a close bond with his family.
Currently, Samantha is taking things slow, avoiding new commitments to focus on her next project, “Maa Inti Bangaram”, announced under her banner. Details about the cast and crew are yet to be revealed.
For “Citadel, Samantha underwent intense training and performed action-packed stunts. While the series didn’t achieve blockbuster success, her performance was widely appreciated, reflecting her dedication to the role.
