Samantha Akkineni did not have a great year last year on the work front but personally she married her love of life, Naga Chaitanya Akkineni and the couple is super happy. The actress decided to continue acting in the films after marriage but she decided to act in more different subjects than regular ones. She wants to be part of good script based films and is also taking chances that she feared before that would affect her career.

She never thought of dubbing in her own voice in films before, even though it crossed her mind. She was scared that people might reject her voice and she may spoil the magic that Ye Maaya Chesave created for people. But now, she is ready to take on that challenge and complete the task successfully for Mahanati. She is playing a journalist who brings out the life of Savitri to forefront and talk about her stardom and then the low, she saw, as articles and a book.

Naga Ashwin is directing the film. She already delivered a big blockbuster in Ranga sthalam that is still going strong after four weeks. Now, she is shooting for U-TURN, a Kannada remake in Telugu and Tamil. She has other films in Tamil too. In all of them, she promises to have a prominent role that will make her fans happy.
