Mari Selvaraj’s film Bison starring Dhruv Vikram has been receiving a fantastic response from audiences since its release.
Based on the real life story of Arjuna Award-winning kabaddi player Manathi Ganesan from Thoothukudi, the movie has stood out among the Diwali releases. With the film getting rave reviews the team has been visiting theaters to thank fans personally.
At a recent fan meet in Salem, Selvaraj, along with actors Ameer and Rajisha Vijayan watched Bison with the audience and later interacted with reporters.
When asked about Rajinikanth’s reaction Mari revealed, “Rajini sir called me right after watching the film and praised it. He said, ‘It’s amazing how much effort you’ve put in. Your identity as a director shines through’. He was also impressed by Dhruv Vikram’s maturity as an actor”.
Mari added that Rajini’s appreciation motivates him and his team to continue making socially powerful films.
