Allu Arjun’s Pushpa: The Rise, directed by Sukumar, has been creating wonders ever since its release. While the film has received a mixed response in the Telugu states, the film has performed well in Tamil and continues to perform exceptionally well in the Hindi market, having even crossed the thrid week collections of Baahubali: The Beginning, creating a record.
Pushpa has now created another record, by getting a higher score than Baahubali: The Beginning, on IMDB. Where Baahubali: The Beginning stands with a rating of 8.0 on IMDB, Pushpa has gotten a rating of 8.1. Baahubali: The Conclusion stands with an 8.2 rating. Both the Baahubali films opened to higher ratings on IMDB, and it is now to be seen whether Pushpa will retain its 8.1 rating in the future, or if the rating would go down.
On the other hand, the pre-production works for the second part of Pushpa, tentatively titled Pushpa: The Rule, are expected to begin after Sankranthi, while the film is expected to begin shooting from March. Pushpa: The Rise is currently available to stream on Amazon Prime, in all the South Indian languages.
