Shankar’s Journey To Telugu Cinema: All Eyes On Game Changer

Shankar is known for delivering blockbuster movies that performed well in Telugu too. He was the first South Indian star director whose films became hits in other languages too.

Shankar always dreamed of directing Telugu heroes. Although he discussed scripts with Chiranjeevi, the project never materialized. For the past 15 years Shankar has been trying to work with a Telugu star.

He even met stars like Mahesh Babu and Prabhas but those projects did not take off. During the pandemic he met Prabhas again but unfortunately the film didn’t happen.

Finally Shankar is making his Telugu debut with Ram Charan in Game Changer set to release on January 10th 2025. While Shankar has given blockbusters he has also delivered flops like Nanban, I, and Indian 2.

Though 2.0 was visually impressive it was not a financial success. Game Changer is a crucial film for Shankar to prove himself again.

His next film Indian 3 has completed shooting but lacks buzz. The result of Game Changer will significantly impact Shankar’s future. Let’s hope this film gives him the much-needed comeback.
