Mr. Work From Home, starring Thrigun and Payal Radhakrishna, is a message-based love story released today. Did this small film give them a hit? Let’s see.
Mr. Work From Home Story: Aravind returns from the US to do farming and falls in love with Mahi. She likes him thinking he is rich and well-settled, but Aravind believes love shouldn’t be based on money, leading to their breakup. He then faces struggles in farming and life.
What challenges did he face? Did his app succeed? Why did his father send him out? Did Mahi understand his true love? The rest of the story reveals it.
Performances: Thrigun has been trying for a strong success for years but keeps choosing weak scripts, and this film is no different. He performs decently, but it doesn’t help much. Payal Radhakrishna gets very limited scope to showcase her talent or glamour.
Anish Kurivilla and Satya Krishna play routine roles. Sudarshan and Viva Harsha’s comedy fails to click. Even the star hero references, though used often, do not entertain the audience.
Technical Aspects: As a writer, Madhudeep is okay, but as a director he fails. He struggles to present the film in a way that matches Gen-Z trends. Songs by Prakash Cherukuri and Arun Chiluveru only feel like they increase the runtime.
Ravikumar’s cinematography is just average, and the production values are also ordinary.
Analysis: Mr. Work From Home tries to deliver a message about the importance of farming and encourages youth to consider agriculture with modern technology. The idea is good, but the execution is confusing and poorly handled.
The love story doesn’t connect well with the main theme. Comedy and emotions fail to work, and nothing engages the audience. Overall, the film feels outdated and dull, making even its short runtime feel very long.
Verdict: Good concept but poor execution. Confusing narration, weak emotions, and outdated treatment make Mr. Work From Home a dull, disappointing watch overall.
Bottom Line: Disappointing watch.
Rating: 1/5
