Rani Mukerji Gets Special Honour In Mumbai

Rani Mukerji received the Raj Kapoor Special Contribution Award at the 62nd Maharashtra State Film Awards ceremony in Mumbai.

Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis presented the honour in the presence of Cultural Affairs Minister Ashish Shelar and few other film personalities which was very great.

The award recognises Rani’s contribution to Indian cinema and her strong connection with Maharashtra. Born and raised in Mumbai she has enjoyed a long successful career with many films.

While accepting the award Rani said Maharashtra is her lovely birthplace, workplace and an important part of her life.

She also said Mumbai gave her an identity, career and audience. Rani added that she always chooses strong and meaningful roles representing courageous women.
