Story:

Dharani Rajendran is the writer and director of the 2023 Indian Tamil historical action movie Yaathisai. Rajalakshmi, Cheyon, and Sakthi Mithran play the main parts in the movie. On April 21, 2023, it was released in theaters. Critics gave it favorable reviews.

The seventh century is when the story takes place. After defeating the Chera and Cholas, Pandyan Iranadheeran takes control of Tamil Nadu. Chera is taken prisoner by Iranadheeran and sent to Yavanadesama. The jungles are where the Cholas hide. The Pandyas are pushed out into the desert by the Chera and Cholas. The local dialect of Sangam Tamil is spoken by the Pandyas. Koddi, the Pandyas’ leader, swears to subdue the group and take control. He aspires to be crowned and have his son succeed him as ruler of the Pandyas’ homeland.

The story takes place in the seventh century. Tamil Nadu is taken over by Pandyan Iranadheeran after he defeats the Chera and Cholas. Iranadheeran captures Chera and transports her to Yavanadesama. The Cholas hide in the jungles. The Chera and Cholas drive the Pandyas into the desert. The Pandyas speak Sangam Tamil, the indigenous dialect. The chief of the Pandyas, Koddi, vows to take charge and conquer the group. As the monarch of the Pandyas’ homeland, he hopes to be crowned and have his son take over.
