It is very well known that Megastar Chiranjeevi and his son Ram Charan took it upon themselves to make sure that everyone who bought Acharya’s distribution rights and suffered major losses, as a result, would be compensated. As such, they even struck an early streaming date with Amazon Prime, having released it within a month of its release.
It has now come to light that Acharya has made just Rs. 33 Crores so far, which is not enough to compensate everyone involved. With Chiru back in town after a vacation in America, he is expected to sort out this issue right away, before he can get back to any of his other commitments. Director Koratala Siva is also said to be taking care of this issue, given that he was the one who took care of the pre-release business.
Chiru, Charan, and Koratala are said to have returned a major part of their remunerations, and the producer is said to have agreed to bear the GST cost. With Koratala expected to begin work on NTR30 only after this issue is sorted, it is expected that the issue will be sorted out sooner, rather than later.
