How Shankar Dada MBBS Helped A Girl Diagnose Diabetes

People often say movies don’t add real value to life, but for Vaishnavi Varma, a Telugu medical student, a film became a life-changer.

Known as “Pancreas Paused” on Insta, Vaishnavi shared how Shankar Dada MBBS helped her identify her Type 1 Diabetes when even doctors couldn’t.

In 2018 she started experiencing symptoms like constant thirst, extreme hunger and weight loss. Despite visiting multiple doctors no one could figure out what was wrong.

One day, while watching a scene in Shankar Dada MBBS, where Chiranjeevi explains a medical condition, something clicked. The symptoms matched her own. She immediately got tested, and the results confirmed she had Type 1 Diabetes.

Vaishnavi shared her experience through a reel titled “Not your usual diagnosis story”, proving how cinema can sometimes offer more than entertainment, it can even save lives. Her Instagram caption says it all, “My beta cells ditched me in 2018”.
