Vishal is not just a hero from Tamil Cinema but he has a good following in Telugu too. The actor managed to find good enough market in Telugu with hit films and even though his mark on Tamil Cinema is huge now, as he is the Movie Artiste Association President and also Tamil Film Producer Council President. Recently, under him, TFPC successfully made exhibitors, Government and DSPs to come to their terms after a 45 day lockout. The actor has supported women to come out and give their opinion on the casting couch that many are talking about.
He has been aware of things going on Telugu Film industry and said that Movie Artists Association needs to take an initiative to bring the issue to an end. He said, “I can’t talk about the political fight between the party leaders and media. I am more concerned about grave allegations that actress Sri Reddy made on Telugu film big personalities. We have to see that the issue doesn’t become too huge that it tarnishes the image of Film Industry.”
He added to it, “One cannot plainly say that casting couch exists. They have to prove it too. MAA should have encouraged for people to give a complaint against such producers or actors and sort this issue out, with available proofs. You can throw stone at any window in anger, but it is important that you prove it is just and also not an act of violence for people to take to seriously. I emphasize with the actress and I would say again that MAA should intervene and close this issue soon.” Vishal is currently holding meetings to finalise the release dates of various films and his film, Abhimanyudu too.
