Remember when you fell in love with the movie Gopala Gopala starring Pawan Kalyan and Venkatesh? Now that movie is going to be remade in Kannada starring superstars from their film industry, Upendra and Sudeep. The Hindi version of the film starred Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal, where the former played God.
However, the Hindi version of the film had quite a controversial run as there were many remarks made about how the film hurts ‘religious sentiments’. So the Kannada film will be tweaked a little to suit the sensibilities of the audience and avoid too many controversies. Upendra will play the role Paresh Rawal played in the Hindi version and Sudeep will play the role Akshay Kumar played. The Hindi film itself is not an original and is largely based on the Australian film The Man Who Sued God. The film was also made in Telugu as Gopala Gopala with Venkatesh and Pawan Kalyan the lead roles.
Top Comment: In the recent past, the Kannada film industry has been thriving on remakes and looks like more such remakes are lined up.
