Dil Raju, a prominent Telugu distributor known as the King in the Nizam region, secured the distribution rights for Superstar Mahesh Babu’s film, Guntur Kaaram. However, controversy arose as he faced accusations of not allocating enough screens for another simultaneous release, HanuMan. Today, accompanied by Guntur Kaaram’s producer Naga Vamsi, Dil Raju addressed the media.
Despite negative reviews, particularly from Mahesh Babu’s fans, Dil Raju remains optimistic about Guntur Kaaram’s performance. He highlighted positive responses from mass theatres like Sudarshan, stating that the film is overcoming initial negativity with each show.
Acknowledging the mixed reviews, Dil Raju emphasized the belief in the film’s potential. It’s still early to draw conclusions on the movie’s success, being only the second day since its release. Despite fan dissatisfaction in some areas, there are audiences appreciating Mahesh Babu’s presence and performance.
The team already confirmed a remarkable achievement, as Guntur Kaaram set an all-time record for a regional film with a worldwide gross of 94 Cr on the opening day. Directed by Trivikram Srinivas, the film’s success is yet to unfold, and optimism surrounds its ability to surpass initial challenges and negative critiques.
