Robinhood Movie Story: Ram (Nithin) realizes at a young age that deception is a common trait among people. He grows up believing that if cheating helps do good for many, it’s justified. This mindset leads him to become Robinhood, supporting orphans and shelters. During a mission, he meets Neera (Sreeleela), an NRI, and love blossoms between them. However, their paths unexpectedly cross with Saami, changing everything.

Performances: Nithin delivered an effortless performance, though a fresher take on his character would have been better. Sreeleela did well, but her role didn’t work as expected, and her comic timing fell flat. Vennela Kishore and Rajendra Prasad’s combo provided good laughs.
Devdatta Nage’s character lacked impact, just like in his previous films. Shine Tom Chacko, Mime Gopi, Lal, and Subhalekha Sudhakar were decent in their usual roles.
Technical Aspects: Sai Sriram’s cinematography is bright and grand, delivering quality visuals even on a budget. GV Prakash’s songs were hits, but their placement felt off, except for the “Ganja Man” remix, which added value to the action scenes. The production design was top-notch, with no compromises. Director Venky Kudumula experimented with action and suspense but struggled to keep the audience fully engaged, despite some good comedy moments from Vennela Kishore and Rajendra Prasad.
Analysis: Since new stories are rare, directors often present old ones in a fresh way. Venky Kudumula followed this approach in his first two films, adding a trendy touch to familiar narratives and delivering hits. However, with his third film, Robinhood, he couldn’t recreate the same magic. Despite a few entertaining moments, the film fell short and remained an average entertainer.
Verdict: Robinhood has a few entertaining moments but lacks the freshness and engaging treatment expected from Venky Kudumula. With a predictable narrative and limited impact, it ends up as a passable entertainer.
