On August 4, 1999, in New Delhi, Yashika Aannand was born into a Punjabi Hindu household. She finished her education at Sherwood Hall School in Chetpet, Chennai, after her family relocated there.
After working as an Instagram model, Aannand started acting. She costarred with Santhanam in the 2015 film Inimey Ippadithan when she was 14 years old, but her part was eventually cut after she was unable to make it to a song shoot. Her first cinematic release, Kavalai Vendam (2016), featured her as a swimming instructor.
Aannand made his big screen debut in the 2016 movie Dhuruvangal Pathinaaru. Despite having a modest budget, the movie proved to be popular and brought the cast members acclaim. After that, she starred in Thambi Ramaiah’s Maniyaar Kudumbam (2018) and Paadam (2018).
After that, Aannand starred in the adult comedy film Iruttu Araiyil Murattu Kuththu (2018). She starred in the Thailand-shot movie with actresses like Vaibhavi Shandilya and Chandrika Ravi, and it did well at the box office.
