Yaddanapudi Sulochana Rani was born on 2 April 1940 in a Telugu Niyogi Brahmin family at Kaza in Krishna district, Andhra Pradesh.
From her early years, she had a strong affinity for literature. She’s penned more than 80 novels.
Since the 1970s and the beginning of the 1980s, she has a sizable fan base, particularly among women. A number of her stories have been adapted for the big screen and television series. Two Nandi Awards were hers.
While visiting her daughter in California on May 18, 2018, Yaddanapudi passed away. Condolences were extended by Andhra Pradesh opposition leader Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy and Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao.
