Vishnu G. Varrier is an Indian actor celebrated for his versatile performances across Malayalam, Hindi, and Tamil cinema. Hailing from Wayanad, Kerala, Vishnu’s journey to the silver screen was unconventional. Before pursuing acting, he lived in various parts of India during his corporate career. His passion for acting led him to the theatre, where he honed his skills, and later to the prestigious Drama School Mumbai, which provided him with a strong artistic foundation.
Vishnu made his cinematic debut with the 2024 Malayalam film Anweshippin Kandethum, starring Tovino Thomas. His portrayal of Nathaniel (Chemmachan) received critical acclaim for its depth and emotional resonance. This breakthrough opened doors to Bollywood and Tamil cinema, allowing him to captivate audiences across different linguistic and cultural spheres.
Among his notable projects is Maidaan (2024), a biographical film on Syed Abdul Rahim, where he plays Olympian Chandrasekhar Menon alongside Ajay Devgn. He also appeared as Shyam in Richie Mehta’s Poacher (2023) and will feature in Trail of Assassin, an upcoming Tamil web series directed by Nagesh Kukunoor.
