Vishal started playing the keyboard at the age of six, and by the time he was 10, he was doing solo performances. After earning a master’s degree in electronic media from Anna University and working on more than 450 short films and 250 commercial jingles, he was named the best music director for Kalaignar TV’s Nalaya Iyakkunar show.
He then finished the KM Music Conservatory’s foundation course. In 2012, Vishal made his composition debut with Brindha Das’s Hi Da. Gautham Menon attended the audio launch, which took place in January 2013. The movie was never released in theaters, even though the soundtrack and trailer were available.
Vishal had the chance to collaborate with Santhosh Sivan on his war picture, Inam (2014), and his work received praise. According to an NDTV reviewer, “the music helps you connect with the film on an emotional level” and that “even though there are three songs included merely to give the film a commercial touch.
It’s his background score that draws your attention” .Along with finishing work on Hrudayam Ekkadunnadi (2014) in Telugu, he then moved on to work on Appuchi Gramam (2014), a science fiction movie from Tamil that gained notoriety for its song “En Kannukulle”.
Vishal recorded songs for Siddharth’s Jil Jung Juk (2015), which featured music composed by Anirudh Ravichander, Santhosh Narayanan, and Sean Roldan. Vishal got praise from critics for his performance in the film. Vishal worked on a blend of 1950s swing and EDM for the song “Red Roadu,” while the song “Shoot the Kuruvi” gained a lot of attention. Recent projects he worked on with Nani were Sawaari and Krishna Gaadi Veera Prema Gaatha.
He served as Simba’s music director. This year, he is also stepping out into the independent music scene with music videos. He is collaborating with youthful artists and technologists on the music video for “Rhythm of Life.”
The song’s lyrics were written by Vishnu Edavan, and Ashwin Kumar Lakshmikanthan stars in the video directed by Sam Paul P. Yazin Nizar and Kavya Ajith, respectively, provide the male and female vocals. Both reviewers and viewers praised his performance in the 2022 Telugu film Sita Ramam.
