Lucknow’s favorite is the aspiring actor popularly known as RJ Vikram. RJ made his screen debut in the suspense thriller “Hill View Villa”. Vikram Sharma was raised in Shahdol (M. P.), Varanasi, and Lucknow. He was born to Late Urmila and Late S. L. Sharma in the small hamlet of Shahdol. Vikram used to take part in a number of school plays because he had always aspired to be an actor. The play Hemlet was his favorite.
His passion for being on television gave him the chance to serve as an anchor, reporter, and news reader for Siti Channel. His efforts were valued, and he continued to have faith in his dream. His parents moved back to Varanasi, his hometown, in 2003, and it was there that he received the finest education of his life. He had always wished to study acting at NSD Delhi. The problem was that he had to have completed at least 10 plays. Since Vikram lacked the certification proving he had completed ten plays, he was unable to join NSD.
He performed in plays at Shri Nagari Naatak Manali, Varanasi, including Asadh Ka ek din, Kafan, Bade Bhaiya, and Hemlet. As they say, there is always a way when there is a will. A ninety-day workshop was held in Varanasi by NSD in collaboration with Shri Nagari Naatak Mandali. Legends in the field including Anupam Shyam, Atul Tiwari, Deepak Qazir, and Shyam Benegal gave him his official training.
Vikram had appeared in a number of TV programs, including Bollywood Ka Boss, MJ Hunt, and Zee Cinestar ki Khoz season 1. However, his ordinary physical condition prevented him from passing Zee Cinestar ki Khoz and MJ Hunt. He then set out to tackle any obstacles that would stand in his way of realizing his dream. These days, Vikram is obsessed with fitness and dedicates hours to toning his body.
Few films have had Vikram as a background artist or member of the dancing crew. But he did not receive the gratification he so desperately needed. He made the short film Shatir, which was helmed by Mr. Prafulla Srivastava, to sate his hunger. Because of his commitment to hard effort, the director put him in the film Hill View Villa.
He was given a few additional projects after his film. He performed the primary lead negative in a Dangal TV CIF broadcast, portrayed a journalist in the film “I Am Draupadi,” had a supporting part in Mungeri Lal Btech, and recorded the music video for the song “Badaulat Teri” for extreme Bollywood. Director Kunal Kohli’s Lahore Confidential had Vikram as a RAW agent; Director Milaap Zaveri’s Satyamev Jayate2 featured Vikram as a police inspector; Director Tejas Prabhaa Vijay Deoskar’s upcoming film Chhatriwali features Vikram in a character part; and Vikram made his Savadhaan India debut as a police officer.
A few more acting gigs are in the works, including the Jornalist character in Ragbaaz3, the Killer character in Abhay 3, directed by Ken Ghosh, and the Sikh character played by Vikram in Vikramaditya Motwane’s upcoming series Stardust. Director Shantanu Bagchi is now working on Mission Majnu.
