A skilled director of photography, Vignesh Raj works in the Indian film business. After graduating from the prestigious M.G.R. Government Film and Television Institute in Chennai with a Diploma in Film Technology with a focus in Cinematography, Vignesh gained ten years of experience as a cinematographer on Tamil, Kannada, and Hindi movie sets.
He had a variety of positions in the camera department over the years, including camera operator, first assistant camera, second assistant camera, and third assistant. Under the capable guidance of Manush Nandan ISC, Vignesh developed the strength to lead camera divisions independently starting in 2016.
Vignesh Raj, a promising new DoP in the Tamil industry, is now located in Chennai. Vignesh is a passionate, aspirational, and self-motivated person who is committed to becoming one of the nation’s top DoPs. Notably, Vignesh’s final year project, which was shot on 35mm film, also earned him the coveted Tamil Nadu State Award for Best Cinematography in a Students Film of the year 2015.
