Venugopal Madathil, born on June 5, 1966, is an accomplished Indian cinematographer with a remarkable career spanning over several decades. Throughout his illustrious journey in the film industry, Madathil has lent his creative vision to more than 75 films, leaving an indelible mark on the Malayalam cinema landscape. His collaborative efforts with renowned directors, including Sibi Malayil, A. K. Lohithadas, Jayaraj, Kamal, V. M. This pivotal moment compelled him to put his aspirations on hold and return home.

After a hiatus, Madathil reentered the film industry as an assistant for Nair’s film “Anubandam.” This marked a significant comeback for him, and he subsequently worked as an independent cameraman for the Tamil film “Pournami Rojakkal.” His inaugural venture as an independent cinematographer in Malayalam cinema was Mr. Kaladharan’s “Ellarum Chollanu.”
