Actor Venu Arvind hails from India. His roles in the television serials Kovai Anuradha and K. Balachander are well-known. He first became well-known as the protagonist of two television serials helmed by Kovai Anuradha: Costly Mappilai (1996) and Green Signal (1997). He was then directed by K. Balachander in Kasalavu Nesam (1999) and Kadhal Pagadai (1997).
He portrayed the main antagonist Ranga in the immensely popular television serial opera Alaigal, a character that continues to be well-liked by viewers to this day.
His first feature film as a filmmaker was Sabash Sariyaana Potti. He has been wed to Shoba since 1987, and the two of them have a son named Vijay and a daughter named Veena. In 2007, he became the first TV actor to get the Kalaimamani Award.
