Biography:

V. Priya is a film director and screenwriter from India and is known for her contributions in the Tamil film industry. Having assisted the renowned filmmaker Mani Ratnam in his filmmaking process, she made her directorial debut with the romance movie Kanda Naal Mudhal in 2005. The film earned appreciation from critics for its innovative story and great performances. Some of her other films include Kannamoochi Yenada in 2007 and Hara Hara Mahadevaki in 2017. She ventured into the world of digital movies by directing the Tamil web series titled Paper Rocket in 2022. It is a road drama movie based on human relationships. Her movies are mostly known for being character-centric, emotional, and a mix of comedy and drama.
