Actor, film director, lyricist, and music director from India, Vitla Manohar has worked on Tulu and Kannada films. He has written lyrics and composed music for a number of Kannada and Tulu films.
Manohar was born in Vitla village in the Indian state of Karnataka’s Dakshina Kannada district. His mother is Padmavathi, while his father is Shivanna Bhat. He began his career as a cartoonist, contributing to prestigious journals and newspapers.
Over 100 Kannada films, including Gejje Naada, O Mallige, Indra Danush, Janumada Jodi, Tharle Nan Maga, Swasthick, Duniya, Ee Sambhaashane, Banda nan Ganda, Janumada Gelathi, and Mathadana, have had music composed by Manohar. Among the popular Kannada songs of the 1990s is his song “Kolu Mande” from the film Janumada Jodi. One of his hits is “Kariya I Love You” from the film Duniya. The song “Hodeya Doora Oh Jothegaara” from the film Anubhava was his first composition as a lyricist.
