Udhaya, an Indian actor primarily known for his work in Tamil language films, hails from a family deeply entrenched in the Indian entertainment industry. He is the son of the renowned producer A. L. Azhagappan and the sibling of director A. L. Vijay. In August 2007, Udhaya tied the knot with Keerthika, marking a significant milestone in his personal life.
Udhaya commenced his acting career in 1998 under his original name, Senthilkumar, with his father producing his debut film, “Ini Ellam Sugame.” He went on to feature in various films, including “Thirunelveli” alongside Prabhu and Karan, but some of these projects received mixed reviews, with his performance often labeled as “average.” Despite his early challenges, he continued to work in the industry, appearing in movies like “Kalakalappu” opposite Vijayalakshmi.
Over the years, Udhaya encountered several unreleased projects and setbacks, including attempts to launch films like “Ennil Kalanthavalae” and “Asamy.” His film “Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa” was eventually released as “Unnai Kann Theduthe” in 2009, while in 2011, he publicly expressed frustration with the director of “Kaadhal Jaathi,” claiming that the film’s release was being blocked by the director himself. Despite these challenges, Udhaya continued to pursue his acting career, with notable appearances in films like “Raa Raa,” “Poova Thalaiya,” and a supporting role in his brother’s project, “Thalaivaa.”
