Biography:

Taran Bajaj is a versatile professional involved in the Hindi film industry, Hindi television serial industry, and advertising. Born on August 24th in Uttar Pradesh, he is recognized for his contributions as both an actor and a casting director. His filmography includes notable works like “Love Sex Aur Dhoka,” “Love Shagun,” “John Day,” and several others.

Taran’s roots trace back to Shahjahanpur in Uttar Pradesh, where he was born and raised. He received his education at St. Paul’s Inter College in Shahjahanpur. In 2006, he made his way to Mumbai with the purpose of participating in the play “Bharat Ke Shahedo Tumhe Naman,” organized by actress Jaya Bachchan’s Yuvak Biradri. In this play, he skillfully portrayed the characters of Bhagat Singh, Kartar Singh, and Udham Singh.

The year 2009 marked Taran’s permanent relocation to Mumbai, where he commenced his career as both a casting director and an actor in the Bollywood film industry. During this period, he also gained experience working on the set of “3 Idiots.” Taran briefly ventured into television serials between 2009 and 2010.

His television acting credits include roles in popular series such as “Chhoti Bahu – Sindoor Bin Suhagan” on Zee TV, “Taarak Mehta Ka Oolta Chashmah” on Sab TV, “Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai” on Star Plus, “Miley Jab Hum Tum” on Star One, “Uttaran” on Colors TV, and more. He also appeared in the telefilm “Life.”

Taran made his Bollywood acting debut in 2011 with the anthology film “Love Sex Aur Dhoka,” directed by Dibaker Bannerjee, which notably employed a found footage style. Subsequently, he acted in films like “Love Express,” “Via Kargill,” “Life Ki Toh Lag Gayi,” “Zanjeer,” “John Day,” “Jazbaa,” “Love Shagun,” “Junooniyat,” and “Udta Punjab.”

In 2011, Taran took on the role of an associate director in director Remo D’Souza’s “F.A.L.T.U.” He continued to work as an associate director in several other films, including “Love Express,” “Bubble Gum,” “Mausam,” “Thuppaki,” “Son of Sardaar,” “Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola,” “Rangrezz,” “Commando,” “Ek Thi Daayan,” “Fukrey,” “Bhaag Milkha Bhaag,” “Once Upon A Time In Mumbai Dobaara!,” “Dedh Ishqiya,” “Kuku Mathur Ki Jhand Ho Gayi,” “Holiday,” “Detective Byomkesh Bakshi,” “Phantom,” “Jazbaa,” “Talvar,” “Junooniyat,” “Force 2,” and “A Death In The Ganj.”

His recent works as an associate casting director include the films “Raees” and “Commando 2,” both in 2017. Furthermore, Taran has been extensively involved in over a hundred advertisements, both as an actor and a casting director, featuring campaigns such as Fed Ex’s rock star ad and Hero Honda ICC World Cup 2011, among others.
