Syama Harini

Biography:

After seeing several live performances by Karthik Kumar, SA Aravind, and Bhargav Ramakrishnan in Chennai, Syama Harini decided to pursue stand-up comedy three years ago. It appeared that everyone had stopped listening, so she took up the microphone so she could be heard during her tirades as well. She plays in pubs, cafes, and, more recently, the comedy clubs that have been popping up all across Chennai. She performed as Saikiran’s opening act in one Telugu performance. Since it appears simpler to perform in one’s own tongue, she hopes to try Telugu stand-up soon. She performs theatre and clowning as well.
