Surjyasikha Das

Biography:

Surjyasikha Das is a gifted actor from the scenic northeastern state of Assam, India. Her passion for acting ignited at a young age, nurtured during her formative years at St. Mary’s Convent in Guwahati—a school known for its academic strength and supportive atmosphere.

She continued her education at the esteemed Cotton College, later moving to Bangalore to expand her academic and cultural exposure. The youngest of three siblings, Surjyasikha comes from a family with a strong emphasis on education and professional achievement. Her mother, a retired government employee, instilled values of discipline and perseverance. Her two elder sisters have established careers as a lecturer and a doctor.

Surjyasikha’s artistic inclinations were evident early on—she trained in Bharatanatyam, freestyle dance, and Hindustani Classical Music (through Bhatkhande, Lucknow), while also excelling in athletics and co-curricular activities.

Though she dreamed of acting since childhood, she first focused on her academics, earning an MBA in Finance from Christ University. Her transition to acting began in 2019 when she started auditioning, landing her first major commercial in April that year—a TVC for IndusInd Bank directed by Ruchi Narain.

Her breakthrough on the international stage came in 2023, with a prominent role in a web series targeted at the UAE audience. Surjyasikha credits her mother’s unwavering support as the foundation of her journey and success in the acting world.
