Reddy’s career in the film industry began with “Silence Please,” a heartwarming love story featuring deaf and mute protagonists. He followed this with “Hero,” a children’s film emphasizing the importance of education and physical activities for children, which received recognition with three Nandi Awards. Furthermore, he directed a documentary titled “Chance,” which not only won two Nandi Awards but was also screened at the prestigious Cairo Film Festival.
One of his significant achievements was the release of “Sontha Ooru” in 2009, which was well-received by both audiences and critics, earning the title of Best Film of the Year. His film “Gangaputrulu,” depicting the lives of fishermen, earned Reddy the Best Director and Best Dialogue Writer awards.
