Sonia Rathee

Biography:

Through her parts in online series, Sonia Rathee rose to fame. Ankur Rathee is her brother. Before relocating to New York, Rathee was raised in San Diego, California, USA. She graduated with a degree in finance and marketing from a Boston college. She spent a year working in finance in New York. She later made the decision to follow her childhood ambition and enrolled in acting school.

In her first web series, Broken But Beautiful (2018), which aired on ALTBalaji and MX Player in May 2021, Rathee portrayed Rumi Desai opposite the late actor Sidharth Shukla. When the online series made her popular, this was her ticket to fame. She costarred with Madhavan and Surveen Chawla in the Netflix series Decoupled (2021) after Broken But Beautiful Season 3 became a hit. Masha was the name of her character in this series.

Tara vs. Bilal (2022), a romantic comedy on Netflix that starred Rathee opposite Harshvardhan Rane and was produced by actor John Abraham, was her maiden film as a starring actress. ‘Chamkeela Chehra’, Badshah’s July 2022 music video, featured her. She demonstrated her dancing abilities, and she intends to participate in future dance performances to further showcase them.
